How Therapair works

Therapair is an Australian platform in early access. It is designed to make first contact between clients and mental health providers calmer and more informative — not to replace professional judgement or crisis services.

Who this is for

What happens for clients (high level)

Clients are guided through questions about what they are looking for, how they prefer to work, and practical details (such as format and availability). The goal is to reduce vague “cold emails” and help people articulate what matters before first contact.

Public access for clients is rolling out gradually; the client waitlist is the best place to register interest Australia-wide.

What happens for therapists and practices

Providers can request early access to preview the client journey and stay informed as onboarding opens. Practices can use the practices page if they are registering on behalf of a team or network.

Therapair aims to represent how you work — focus areas, modalities, formats, boundaries — so clients can self-screen more effectively. You remain responsible for clinical suitability and consent in your own practice.

What “matching” means here

“Match” means better alignment of information at first contact, not a guarantee of chemistry, outcomes, or wait times. See trust and limits for boundaries.
